IALC comes to an end

Published on Tuesday, April 24, 2018

We are back home at our desks as we speak...and as I browse through our IALC photos I am reliving the moments that have made this event such a special and successful one. But before moving on to the "thanking people" part, I just want to dedicate one small section to the final gala night that is so synonymous with IALC workshops.

What a gala! The food, the set-up, the music...but most of all the venue! This year's gala night was held at the Palazzo Re Enzo right in the middle of Piazza Maggiore. This place, which served as a jail for the Sardinian King where he was kept there after he had been imprisoned during a battle, is a magnificent building on the outside as well as on the inside. During the dinner we were entertained by a splendid piano-duo who kept the evening alive with classical Italian arias and popular songs. They were just brilliant! Needless to say, the evening came to a late end with a lot of dancing as the dining hall quickly turned into a dance floor!

Now that the event is over, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the IALC team on the great job they did with the organisation of this event. The seminars were interesting, the meetings successful and fruitful, the quality of the participants was high and the activities were not only fun, but they also enabled us to ge to know the city that was hosting us!

Feel free to check out our event photos and tag yourselves here.

So as we conclude the IALC Bologna 2018 chapter, we are already counting the days to next year's event which will be held in Seville.

Grazie mille IALC and hasta pronto!
