BSc (Hons) Health, Social Care and Wellbeing

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Health, Social Care and Wellbeing is designed to prepare students for diverse roles across health, social care, and wellbeing services.

Drawing from a range of disciplines, this degree adopts a multidisciplinary, evidence-based approach that provides deep insight into the principles and practices of health and social care. Students graduate with the critical skills and professional competences needed to contribute effectively to public, private, and not-for-profit organisations.

Over three years of full-time study, students will explore:

  • Equality and Social Justice

  • Policies and Practices in Health and Social Care

  • Health and Social Care for Healthy Ageing

  • Mental Health and Wellbeing Across the Life Course

  • Applied Research in Practice

Year 3:

  • Evaluation and Management of Quality in Health and Social Care

  • Social Justice, Equality and Vulnerability

  • Challenging Evidence in Health and Social Care

  • Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care

  • Major Dissertation or Empirical Project

Students complete a final-year dissertation that allows them to explore an area of interest through rigorous research, data collection, and analysis.
