At the School of Business and Management (SBM) in Malta, celebrating our differences is more than a one-day affair — it’s part of who we are. During our recent Cultural Diversity Day, the SBM campus came alive with colour, tradition, and connection as students, staff, and faculty came together to honour the rich cultural tapestry that defines our community.

Held annually, Cultural Diversity Day is a vibrant celebration of heritage, inclusion, and unity. This year’s event showcased a multitude of nationalities through traditional attire, home-cooked cuisine, music, and customs. From spicy Indian curries to sweet Turkish delights, and from African drumming to Eastern European folk dances, the day was a sensory journey across continents — all from the heart of Malta.

What made the day truly special wasn’t just the food or the festivities — it was the spirit of togetherness. Students shared stories from their homelands, offered language lessons, and introduced others to the customs that shape their identity. The event reflected SBM’s core values: openness, mutual respect, and global citizenship.
