IALC is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Education Consultants Association (IECA) of Taiwan, strengthening cooperation between the two organisations and creating new opportunities for Taiwanese agencies and students to access high-quality international language education.

IALC is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Education Consultants Association (IECA) of Taiwan, strengthening cooperation between the two organisations and creating new opportunities for Taiwanese agencies and students to access high-quality international language education.

The agreement, signed by IALC President Jane Dancaster and IECA President Danny Chang on 11 May 2026, establishes a framework for collaboration based on shared principles of quality assurance, professionalism, transparency, and ethical business practices within international education.

Taiwan continues to be a highly dynamic and internationally minded student market. While English-speaking destinations remain the strongest area of demand, interest is also growing in broader language travel experiences and diversification into additional destinations and languages.

This is where IALC’s international network offers a particularly strong fit for the Taiwanese market.

IALC brings together independently owned language centres teaching 12 languages across some of the world’s most sought-after destinations, allowing agencies to access a carefully vetted portfolio of schools offering both traditional English-language programmes and a growing range of multilingual study opportunities.

Danny Chang, President of IECA and General Manager of Global Education Services (GES), commented:

“Lots of students would like to study not just English, but also Korean, Japanese and other European languages. IALC has a source to help agents finding the partner schools. It is such a good thing for both of us.”

Under the agreement, IECA member agencies will gain priority access to IALC workshops and events, alongside opportunities to participate in the IALC Agency Loyalty Scheme, which recognises agencies actively working with IALC schools and committed to long-term quality partnerships.

The cooperation will also focus on:

  • market insights and information sharing
  • promotion of quality international education
  • professional development initiatives
  • and future networking opportunities connecting Taiwanese agencies with IALC schools worldwide

Julia Patasheva, Director of Operations at IALC, commented:

“Taiwan is a sophisticated and fast-evolving market, with students increasingly looking not only for academic quality, but also for authentic international experiences, multilingual opportunities, and trusted guidance. Through this cooperation with IECA, we hope to make it easier for Taiwanese agencies to connect with high-quality independent schools across a wide range of destinations and languages.”

Both organisations have also expressed interest in exploring future joint networking activities and possible IALC events in Taiwan in the coming years.
