S&A Bulletin: Why the Student Experience should shape your content strategy

  Publisher : Stephanie Clark   03 August 2026 06:00

Hi everyone, and welcome back to another S&A Bulletin. We're now in August and bang in the heart of the peak season. The first month has already flown by. Today we want to share some content ideas that have been inspired by recent conversations and meetings – thoughts that might give your marketing a slightly different angle.

Beyond the classroom

When we talk about promoting courses and programmes, we tend to focus on the academic offer. But students today are shaped by everything happening around them and their expectations reflect that. What they’re increasingly looking for (and what your content should be reflecting) is the full experience your school offers, not just the certificate at the end of it.

What does your student take home?

Success stories, student interviews, teacher perspectives – these are the kinds of content pieces that bring a school to life. If you run a language school, for example, think beyond grammar and vocabulary. Does your course help students develop public speaking skills? The ability to present confidently in another language? These are real, tangible outcomes that resonate far more than a course syllabus ever could.

Excursions are part of the experience too

Excursions are often treated as separate from the academic side of school life, but they don’t have to be. When activities outside the classroom complement what students are learning inside it, the overall experience becomes far more cohesive and memorable. That’s a story worth telling.

If you’re looking for ideas on how to turn this kind of content into articles for the Schools & Agents platform, it’s worth revisiting our earlier post on promotional article best practices for guidance on making the most of what you share with us. Need help developing your content strategy? Get in touch with us today – we’d love to help.
