UK still on the fence as foreign students await decisions

Last November England’s Prime Minister approved a controversial review in order to analyse the international student visa process.

The UK Border Agency has since completed the internal review and those affected far and wide are awaiting the outcome. The government fears that a lax system could easily overlook potential hazards including overstayed visas, illegal labor and even terrorism. On the other hand, the billions of pounds the language industry brings to England would be jeopardized by complicated visa procedures and could easily push away potential students.
